How can my group, organization or business volunteer?
The Ronald McDonald House is operated by a staff of nine and dozens of volunteers.
- Volunteer for the House.
- decorating the House for holidays
- “spring” cleaning at the House
- planting something new in the House – flower beds every change of season
- be a chef for a day. Call the House 295-1885 or email dmcvey@rmhcharlottesville.org to schedule making a meal for our families. Please see the Meal Policies and Menu Suggestions Guide for information.
- Donate items from our wish list. See our wish list page for details.
- Make “welcome boxes” with everyday items like brushes, combs, toothbrushes for families when they check in. Include fun toys to keep kids busy as they wait in the hospital or include a paperback book, pens, note cards, magazines, coloring books, and crayons.
- Create and sponsor a fund-raiser for us. Please call the House with your ideas first!
- Adopt a bedroom in the House for refurbishing.
- Make a monetary contribution to the House. Donate on-line, visit our donation page for details.
